Deputy Chief Positions

The Blount County Fire Protection District is currently accepting applications for two senior command officer positions: Operations Deputy Chief and Administration Deputy Chief. These roles are open to qualified internal and external applicants and are vital to strengthening our command structure.

Position Overview:

  Status: Full Time
• 
  
  Salary: $70,000 Annually
  
  

Core Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible fire service experience.
  
  
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or command-level experience.
  
  
• Ability to obtain Fire Officer III within 1 year of appointment.
  
  
• Associate degree from an accredited college or university (or the ability to obtain one within 4 years of appointment).
  
  
• Demonstrated leadership, judgment, integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
